My name is Bogumil K. Baranowski, and I am an investment professional with two decades of experience.

I am the author of “Outsmarting the Crowd – A Value Investor’s Guide to Starting, Building and Keeping a Family Fortune” (2015), and Money, Life, Family - My Handbook (2019). I am a TEDx Speaker (“The Great Investor in You”). I greatly enjoy speaking about investing and family wealth around the world.

I like to say that I was born Polish and grew up European, only to become American later. I was educated at the leading universities in Paris, Warsaw, and Brussels. I hold a Master’s degree in Finance and Strategy from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and a Master’s in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics.

I regularly attend and speak at intimate industry events: Guy Spier’s VALUEx in Klosters, Switzerland, John Mihaljevic’s MOI Global in Zurich, Sophocles Sophocleous Cyprus Value Investing Conference, among others. I’m a TEDx Speaker, and a former Executive Board member of one of the oldest and most advanced Toastmasters International clubs in New York City.

I never stop learning. I am on a podcasting journey with my new venture, Talking Billions. I’ve already had an opportunity to sit down and talk with leading voices in value investing, personal finance, and the psychology of money. Recent guests include Guy Spier, Brad Barrett from ChooseFI, The Mindful Millionaire Leisa Peterson, and many more.

In my free time, I read, write, fly single-engine propeller planes, scuba dive around the globe, and sail. What’s next? I want to fly with bush pilots in Alaska, swim with humpback whales in Tonga, sail around the world, and make a difference in people’s lives through writing and teaching.
